The last few weeks have been very hectic indeed, with multiple trips down to Plymouth – first to submit my final major project (which went down very well!) and then to set up the degree show, which is on display from Friday 14th of June until today.
Most excitingly of all, during the launch of the degree show I was awarded the top prize – the Greg O’Shea Memorial Prize for best practice, given in recognition of my work throughout the degree and my final major project, Form & Pressure, in particular. For anyone who knows the work I have undertaken, you may understand how profound an outcome this is – indeed it was described by the course leader, Simon Standing, as “the most extraordinary piece of undergraduate work in years”.
A tremendous amount of work was put into the degree show by the student committee. As part of the publicity, they put together a Tumblr site and published a newspaper-style catalog, all under the banner of ‘Brink’. In large part due to their herculean efforts, Rosie and Sam were honoured with the Student of the Year prize.
Some pictures, then.
